What gets in the way, and what RTI does about it
Most inspection tools are forms with a camera attached. The form can be submitted whether or not the evidence is there, so the evidence is optional in practice and the review queue fills with records nobody can verify. RTI takes the opposite position.

Is the evidence rule enforced on the server?
A gate implemented in the browser is a suggestion. Ask where the rule runs — if it is client-side, a phone that loses connection or an old app build can walk straight through it.
Can a record be edited after approval?
If an administrator can silently change an approved inspection, the record is worth exactly as much as the trust between the parties. Look for a chained or otherwise tamper-evident audit trail.
How long from scanning to the first checklist item?
Field adoption dies on friction. Time it yourself on a real phone: a QR scan should land on the first item in under ten seconds without a login wall each time.
What happens with no signal?
Ask specifically what queues, what fails, and whether photos survive an app restart. A basement is the normal case, not the edge case.
Does the output look like something you would hand an owner?
The package is the deliverable. If it exports as a raw data dump, someone on your team will spend the last week of the job rebuilding it by hand.
