TIA structured-cabling standards
The TIA structured-cabling standards describe how the telecommunications cabling in a commercial building is laid out and installed: the pathways and spaces it runs through, the way each cable is supported and terminated, and how a finished link is tested. On site it is the difference between a neat, labeled, certified plant and a bundle of cable somebody will be chasing faults through for years.
