Punch report
A punch report is the organized output of a punch list: the open and closed items rolled up by area, by responsible trade, and by status, with the evidence attached. Where the punch list is the raw running record, the report is the deliverable — what a super hands a subcontractor to chase their items, and what the owner reviews to confirm an area is genuinely complete before accepting it.
How it shows up on site
Sorted by trade, the report becomes each sub's work list; sorted by area, it tells the owner which spaces are clear. The report is only trustworthy when a closed line carries proof — a completed line without a back-check photo is a claim, not a confirmation.
What proves it
A defensible punch report pairs every closed item with its before-and-after photos tied to the location it was written against. When punch items are QR-tagged to the room or assembly, the report assembles itself from evidence already on the right line, and the owner's acceptance walk becomes a review instead of a re-hunt.

Knowing the term is step one. Proving it is the job.
RTI holds the submit button until every mandatory item is answered and the photos are attached, then chains the record so it can be proven untouched later.
