Ductless mini-split quarterly maintenance checklist
A quarterly ductless mini-split round is short on purpose: it catches the wear items that fail between annual services. This checklist is sized for a tech with a phone. Every head run in both modes from its own controller, supply air noticeably warm then cold, no error codes on the display.
What usually sends this back
The failures are almost always the evidence, not the work
- Indoor filters left loaded because each head is in a different room and one or two always get skipped on the walk.
- Condensate pump or drain backing up behind a wall-mounted head, showing up as a stain on the wall or ceiling below.
